Fuel Economy
4-27-07
After filling up my truck's gas tank to the tune of $65 yesterday, I wondered how
much
money I would save if I had a smaller car that got good gas milage. I
started looking around the internets (I like Ted Stevens) and found fueleconomy.gov.
If you've never checked out the site, it would be worth it just to compare different
cars. Another neat feature is that you can report your actual milage and view
other people's real world miles per gallon. Believe me when I say that the
EPA overestimates sometimes.
According to the EPA, I use 20.1 barrels of oil per year and I spend around $2500
per year on gas.
This site definitely makes me want to drive a little four banger (minus the coffee
can exhaust and the over sized, non functional wing).
Until then...

Ad Challenge Update 4-27-07
Click here to see what this is all about.
So far Google is winning with 9 clicks compared to Yahoo's 5. At
the same time though, Yahoo is much cheaper with only $.20 per click compared to
Google's $.43 per click. And to make things more complicated, Yahoo showed
the ad 30,000
times while Google only showed it 13,000. Does that mean people
are more likely to click on a Google ad?
